👉Howard Schultz came from a poor family and lived in low-cost government-subsidized housing. His childhood was far from easy, marked by beatings from his alcoholic father. As he grew up, he had to do all kinds of jobs to make a living, even collecting trash and selling blood for money.
👉Thanks to his mother’s encouragement to study and receive a good education, he sought to escape hardship and pursue his desire to become successful and wealthy. He studied hard and earned an athletic scholarship to Northern Michigan University.

He was ambitious and constantly worked to become better and more capable every day. His first entrepreneurial venture was opening the II Giornale coffee-store chain. Believing in himself and relying on his strong determination, within one year he approached 242 people to seek funding for II Giornale and was rejected 217 times. Over two years, he focused on building the II Giornale store system with a distinctive Italian coffee culture. In 1987, he acquired the Starbucks brand and carried out one of the most ambitious expansion plans in coffee history: opening Starbucks coffee shops around the world. Today, Starbucks has more than 32,000 stores in 80 countries.
Howard Schultz’s successful startup story has inspired many people.
