Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook while still a student at Harvard University. From a young man with a strong passion for computers who taught himself to create software, he went on to found Facebook, one of the world’s most famous social-networking platforms, and became the world’s youngest billionaire at the age of 23. Many people admire Mark for his talent and success.
Everyone assumes that his path to success was smooth and easy, without the ups and downs faced by other successful people such as Steve Jobs, Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos. But few know that becoming a billionaire at such a young age also required him to go through many mistakes.
Mark shared that when he started his business, he was only 19 years old and did not know how to build a company or develop an internet business. He did not know how to work with talented people, many deals were unsuccessful, many products failed, and he had to try again and again. He made many mistakes at the beginning before reaching the success he has today. “I think people often ask about the mistakes they need to avoid. But my answer is: do not try to avoid mistakes, because you are going to make tons of them. The important thing is to learn from those mistakes very quickly and not give up,” he shared.
