There is one kind of currency that crosses every barrier of country, ethnicity and language: “Trust.”
When you trust your working environment, you are willing to make sacrifices and give your all to the passions you pursue.
So how can we build this essential “element” in the workplace?
1. Define clear goals for the business: Make sure all employees clearly understand the company’s direction so that connections, culture and trust among team members can be strengthened.
2. Recognize contributions: Every contribution, even a small one, should be acknowledged in time. This is not only recognition of each person’s contribution to the team’s success, but also a way to spread energy and motivation for growth throughout the company.
3. Allow failure: Business is an adventure full of uncertainty and risk, so difficulties and failures are inevitable. Accept setbacks and find solutions together — that sharing and mutual help will build strong trust within the business.
4. Always keep promises: Build a culture of trust from the smallest things. Encourage everyone in the business to be true to their word. If you schedule a meeting with someone, make sure you show up. If you say you will complete something, do it.
5. Respect every individual in the team: Always listen, understand and build an open environment where each team member can use their strengths and develop their own career path.
