Types of coffee associated with a lower risk of death

According to CNN, caffeinated coffee can provide more energy than simply helping you wake up from drowsiness.

According to previous research, drinking coffee may protect cardiovascular health, reduce the risk of liver problems and support the treatment of other diseases. Professor of Nutrition and Food Science at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom, Gunter Kuhnle, said that coffee provides different health benefits depending on how it is produced. Some types of coffee contain phenolic compounds that are beneficial to health. Although these chemical compounds affect the taste of coffee, they are valuable because they can act as antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties.

The two most common types of coffee are Arabica and Robusta. Research shows that Robusta coffee has a higher phenolic content than Arabica coffee.

Unroasted green coffee beans contain high levels of phenolic compounds, but because their aroma is weaker when brewed, they are usually roasted. Depending on the degree of roasting, some phenolic compounds may be broken down.

Coffee contains high levels of diterpenes, chemical compounds that may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Boiled coffee and French press coffee  contain the highest amounts of diterpenes. Mocha coffee and Espresso contain moderate amounts of diterpenes, while instant coffee or coffee brewed through a paper filter contains the lowest amounts of diterpenes. For this reason, many people are tending to switch to instant coffee or paper-filtered coffee.

Enjoy a wonderful cup of coffee so you can savor its delicious aroma while also taking care of your health.
